The Seven Virtues of Knitting

I'm liking Plato's Seven Virtues. And they certainaly apply to our knitting, so to break it down for us I have appropriately retranslated for the clicking needle set:
PRUDENCE: Finish your projects.
JUSTICE: Spend as much time and technique on the finish work as on the project
RESTRAINT: Restrain the overwhelming force of forging ahead without a gauge swatch for the fitted items
COURAGE: No pattern is too hard to try
FAITH: I think this on applied to my first attempt at turning a heel, they told me to just follow the instructions and believe it would be a heel, and it was!
HOPE: So many ways this applies, no need to elaborate!
LOVE: To thy ownself be true: color, pattern, texture

Hempelin Laws of Knitting

1. You can never have too much yarn
2. You can never spend too much time knitting
3. Better yarn bought is always preferable
4. Spinning and Dyeing are intriguing but detract from your knitting
5. Knitting is green by nature, as every fiber used was something else first
6. The joy of knitting a gift is all yours
7. You can never have too many knitting projects going at once
8. No matter how many times you've done a pattern, a loved pattern is always worth repeating
9. It is our mission to teach the children to knit
10. Coveted needles will bend and break, so go ahead and use them!
